'I was stunned to see Jada walk into the room.
She is a beautiful young lady. With all I've seen, I never
expected to see her walking without assistance.'
By Eric Augustus, Paramedic & Photographer
First of all, against all odds, Jada is alive and well.
Jada is walking, even though no one thought she ever would.
She rides the bus to and from school with her loving assistant and wonderful bus driver, Denny.
Jada attends Crestview Heights Elementary. She goes to her 3rd Grade classroom for Story Time and has been welcomed with open arms. She also attends her Special Ed class and enjoys the company of all of her peers there.
She rides a tricycle through the halls.
This helps her get around without the use of her wheelchair. She enjoys swinging at recess.
Her most important accomplishment in life is this
Jada has touched many people. She has taught many priceless lessons in life. She has moved them to come out of their "comfort zone". This has helped many to feel more comfortable reaching out to persons who live with disabilities. People learn that just because she can not speak, does not mean that you can not form a friendship with her. Jada, you do change people.
